BOOK DISCUSSION
The book group gathers monthly to discuss in detail the chosen titles. This is an enjoyable way to combine intellectual stimulation and socialization. Selections vary based on the interests of current attendees and include fiction, nonfiction, classics, and the latest bestsellers. Members take turns hosting the discussion, providing light snacks.

BRIDGE
This group welcome players who have experience playing but are not necessarily experts. Some newer players have taken lessons before joining the group. This friendly bridge game currently meets twice monthly, from 1 PM to 4 PM, on the first and third Mondays, and is hosted in members’ homes. Light refreshments are offered.
DIALOGUES
This monthly activity is hosted in members’ homes, with relaxed, open discussion focused on responses to a question posed in the prior month’s MPNC Newsletter. Typical topics include members’ experiences related to everything from childhood memories, to difficult decisions to be made, to travels that have provided insight into other cultures and lifestyles. No politic or religious topics, please.

DISCOVERY
The Discovery group plans outings to local points of interest, which introduce newcomers to the many sites and adventures available in the area. Whether close by or in other easily drivable locations, these activities can include visiting parks, gardens, historical homes and sites, and much more. Participation generally requires a preregistration fee and a plan to carpool, if appropriate.
HAPPY HOUR
Members and their plus ones meet on occasion at local bars and restaurants
to socialize and enjoy Happy Hour fare.

HIKING
Our Hiking group meets monthly for a hike that has been specifically selected for our group by our Hiking Chairpersons. Hikes vary in terms of terrain and length
and are always well described in the Monthly Newsletter.
There are opportunities for all levels offered throughout the year.
An organized carpool from a central location to the trailhead is offered.
